Meet at the Entrance of the City of David
Duration: 1.5 – 2 hours
At the City of David, you’ll meet a Yaturu host who, together with Maya, your virtual tour guide will accompany you for the duration of the tour. The host will provide each participant with equipment for the tour. You will begin with an augmented and virtual back-story and orientation that will establish a dramatic context for this very important location.
Walk to see the beautiful view and experience atop the watchtower, then descend to explore the ruins of the Royal Quarter of ancient Jerusalem, a live archaeological site where you will experience the drama’s and struggles of the kings. Though destroyed during the Babylonian invasion, many archaeological artifacts were preserved by fire and ash and survived destruction, they will be presented to you to paint a vivid picture of life in the city as it was. Then: a quick stroll to the Robinson’s Arch and the Western Wall, to bring the last remains of the Second Temple back to their vivid life as it once was 2000 years ago.
Historical context, narrative and drama will be delivered through Mixed Reality on location as you move through the sites, including action scenes, archaeological information, architectural reconstruction and more. This is an incredible opportunity to immerse yourself in the 3D sites and sounds of ancient Israel as you walk through history.
Each participant will receive a AR/VR set, carry bag and headphones to use for the duration of the tour.
